A Hierarchical Searchable Encryption Scheme Using Blockchain-Based Indexing

Focusing on the fine-grained access control challenge of multi-user searchable encryption, we propose a hierarchical encryption scheme using blockchain-based indexing (HSE-BI). First, search index structure based DAG-type policy and stepwise key derivation mechanism; which outsourced to blockchain network achieve reliable search. We design dynamic append-only update protocol for deal with adding deleting files. Secondly, authorization mechanism broadcast permission granting revoking, can prevent malicious server from colluding corrupted users. The security complexity analysis shows that HSE-BI achieves optimal time while satisfying adaptive secure revocation secure. Our experimental results are encouraging, e.g., compared traditional schemes, HSE-BI’s does not impact performance visually. growth rate latency decreases increasing number users, act as an efficient crypto tool open up venues other applications. demonstrate is more suitable actual applications requirements
